Hi! I'm Deborah.
I'm a certified coach, educator, and consultant working to help people make an impact, pursue their passions, lead effectively, and live with intention & meaning.

I have been coaching since 2014, first working with teachers and school leaders to make schools results-oriented, joyful, and affirming spaces of learning. In 2017 I expanded my work to serve a wider audience beyond schools, supporting people in bringing positive shifts to their personal and professional lives.

I am a firm believer in the power of articulating and grounding in our vision, in the strength that comes from community, in taking action despite fear, and in living on purpose.

My clients have included everyone from retirees to organizational leaders, public officials and entrepreneurs, non-profits and businesses. I've partnered with teams and decision-makers working to impact important issues in education, healthcare, and the environment, but also with people who are making meaningful shifts of all scales for themselves, the people they love, and their communities. My work has spanned multiple states and countries, in English and in Spanish.

I hold a bachelor's degree in biology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a master's degree in education from National University, and certifications in solutions-focused coaching from Erickson International and the International Coaching Federation at the PCC level. Along the way I also completed a stint in a doctoral program in ecology & evolution at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I discovered my love for teaching and developing people.

I've been fortunate to have grown up in Costa Rica, to have lived in several US cities, and to now work in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband, daughter, and cat.

What about you? I'd love to hear what you're up to and where you're going.
